Jump up day!

It was jump up day today, where the children went to meet their new teachers. During the day the teachers launched their topics for next half term with memorable experiences. Wheler’s topic next term is ‘Enchanted Woodland’ and they were treated to a presentation from the Woodland Trust. ‘Predators’ is Lotherton’s topic for next half term and they encountered some rather scary animals. Gascoigne’s topic for next half term is ‘Burps, Bottoms and Bile’ and Thackary Medical Museum came to us. Next term, Hasting’s topic is ‘Darwin’s delights’ and they were given the opportunity to investigate living animals and skeletons. Walking around school it was great to see the children’s engagement and joy. We look forward to receiving the children’s summer homework tasks at the beginning of next term.
