Open day at Brigshaw High School

Brigshaw High School are keen to get some feedback from families regarding their open day on Saturday. They had over 220 families attend from across the area and it was one of the busiest the staff can remember.

They would be very grateful if all those who attended would spend a little time completing the following survey to let them know your thoughts

Please note
Parents have until 31st October to submit applications online. If you require any information the Leeds website is useful and can be found here;

All back safe and sound

Apologies these posts have only just gone live, they had not been successfully published. Well I hope you've all had plenty of rest and are now ready for using what you've learned about yourself and your classmates back in the classroom. Here's to your best ever year...

School Games Girls Sports Festival

Well done to our group of Year 5 girls: Mia, Roxy, Isabelle and Poppy from Gascogine class who represented our school at Brigshaw yesterday. This was a non-competitive event where the girls sampled a range of sports and activities including : netball, rugby and bench ball. They had a fantastic time and were superb role models, representing our school with great positivity and I'm sure they will be buzzing with enthusiasm in PE sessions where they will be able to share their skills and experiences with others.

πŸŽπŸ“š✏️The Best School Day Ever!✏️πŸ“šπŸŽ

What was you best school day ever? What was it about the day that makes its stand out in your mind? Did it have an impact on your life today? What would you do if you were in charge of schools? What would you include in the school day?
On Friday all the staff surprised the children with an 'anything is possible' morning ... The children we asked where they wanted to be registered, how they wanted to sit, stand, lay ... and there were many extra treats ... an icecream while doing a compound word spelling test ... Counting whilst jamming with the teachers... The children were given opportunity to see for themselves both what is possible but also along the way they realised why somethings in school are not possible... The purpose of the morning was to hook the children and help them generate ideas for a whole school writing task ... I look forward to reading and sharing their ideas later ....

We're BACK!

Despite the ICT gremlins, I think it's fair to say we've all had a great first week back. All our new starters have arrived and all have made a very positive start to their learning at Lady Elizabeth Hastings School.
Our new Year 6s have really stepped up to the mark, and on Thursday, they made me feel so proud of them and their journey so far at LEH as they delivered their manifestos for Head Boy and Girl in front of the whole school. On Friday, the whole school voted and we will be sharing who has been elected to champion our school to visitors and at events in Good Work Assembly this Friday 14th September.
