A visit to Leeds Art Gallery

Today, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 went to Leeds art gallery for a workshop - All thanks to LEAP.

To begin with the children went in to a special room to view some of Leonardo da Vinci's work.

The children were asked to look closely at the work and to think of words to describe what they could see.

Then in groups, the children were asked to choose a word. Next, the children were asked to look throughout the gallery for pieces of art that they though represented their work.

Finally, the children produced pieces of digital art themselves - we are awaiting for these to be sent to us from the art gallery.

The children also got the opportunity to draw and display our own art.
