OPEN MORNING - Thurs 26th September 2019 10am - 11pm

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for considering our school for your child. We believe you’ve made an excellent choice! Starting school is an important and special time for your child, and also for you as a family. We are privileged that you are considering to place your child in our care. We will work with you to build a strong, effective, positive partnership between home and school. Keeping you informed of your child's progress and learning is something we consider a priority. We provide opportunities for you to have insight into your child's progress at regular intervals throughout this important first year, and continue this throughout your child’s time at our school in a variety of ways. We pride ourselves on being approachable, and together with the joint support from home and school, we are sure your child will appreciate the value of school and be happy and motivated to learn.

Lady Elizabeth Hastings is a happy and harmonious Church of England school, where all of our children are accepted as unique individuals, encouraged to develop their personal skills and talents, to the best of their abilities, and supported and nurtured to become thoughtful, caring individuals under the careful direction of a dedicated staff team. Children at our school are given opportunities for inspiring, rich learning experiences within a caring environment. Our Christian ethos is central to all of our work in school, with every individual being accepted, valued and encouraged to be their very best. We will work together in school; with yourselves, governors, parishioners and members of our community, to help your child to learn, and love to learn, embrace challenge, within a safe, nurturing environment. We want everyone to be happy whilst achieving the highest possible standards of achievement and behaviour-we aim for a balance of excellence and enjoyment. We challenge every child to be the very best that they can be, we never put a ceiling on a child’s learning, but encourage children to find faith within themselves and always reach for the stars! We want all of our children to become well-rounded individuals and, whilst we nurture and care for the children, we teach them the importance of being interdependent and resilient learners.

We provide a vibrant and stimulating learning environment, with an excellent range of provision, to allow your child to flourish in every possible way. We strive for excellent teaching across school, within an encouraging and caring atmosphere, helping children to develop as balanced individuals. We aim to promote a life-long love of learning and a thirst for knowledge, as well as ensuring our children develop respect and tolerance for those around them. We look forward to working alongside you and providing the best possible primary school experience for your child.
