Uniform for September 2019
We are proud of our school uniform and tie as it reflects our school
ethos and the high standards we expect. From Monday 2nd September, the dress code for all children is:
·
full uniform, tie
and school logoed jumper/cardigan
·
Black school shoes,
no fashion boots
·
Plain stud earrings
·
All long hair tied
back
These requirements have been set to ensure your children’s safety and to
set guidance so that education and well being are the main focuses in school.
Uniform grants are available, please visit our website to find out more or
speak to Mrs Hepworth in the school
office. Any child not adhering to the school dress code will be challenged by
their class teacher and may be asked to change in to spare school clothing or
shoes. Additionally, children will be asked to remove inappropriate earrings,
nail varnish and tie hair back. We ask that you support our drive to keep up
our standards so that we con focus our energies on delivering high quality care
and education for your children
Reading Bags
From September, all children in school will be allocated a reading book
each week, with the expectation that all children read at least one book a
week. We have invested a lot of money in to the buying of books and expect all
children in YR to Y6 carry their book in a book bag. Again, we ask that you
support our commitment to raising achievement in reading whilst ensuring that
our books remain inviting to read for many years ahead.
School Dinners
Please be reminded, from Monday
2nd September, the cost of a school lunch and desert will be
£2.40 per day (£12 per week). This is in line with other local schools.
