Star Gazing
On Thursday, the Star Dome arrived at school. It was awe inspiring
to observe the stars and pick out the constellations. I know the children were
particularly mesmerized as the stars moved as the season changed.

📖Open the Book📖
Yesterday we welcomed the Bible story drama group, Open the Book, to our school. Their interactive retelling of the creation story was both memorable and thought provoking. Thank you to all the volunteers who selflessly give their time to enrich our learning. We look forward to finding out what Adam and Eve did in their wonderful new world and developing our friendship with the wonderful people from Open the Book.
🎷🎶A woodwind ensemble🎶🎷
Well done Year 5 you've achieved it! In 6 weeks you've all learnt to play a woodwind instrument and this week I had the pleasure of listening to you perform together. I can't wait until you first performance for the rest of school and your families.
🌵🌻🌷Thank you Garforth Garden Centre🌷🌻🌵
On Wednsday Y1 travelled to the garden centre to find out more about their science topic, plants. Not only did our children find lots of different types of plants, they also met experts who shared their plant knowledge and willingly answered our questions. Thank you Garfoth Garden Centre.

Functional Fitness
Today these children represented our school at the Elite Sports Functional Fitness festival. They joined together with children from 6 other primary schools from Castleford and Wakefield to compete in fitness activities like endurance running, weight lifting and tug of war. Each child challenged themselves to do new activities and actively encouraged and supported their team mates. The organisers were really impressed with the skills, sportsmanship and manners shown by all our children and made a point of sharing this. We are so proud of you.
