Y2 SATs Meeting -Wednesday 29th April

 

 

It was great to see so many parents at the Y2 SATs information meeting, this evening. If you were not able to make it, look out for the presentation that Mrs D will be uploading onto Wheler Class Blog in the near future.

Skipping Workshop with Y3 and Y4

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thank you Mr Cochoran! We had a great afternoon skipping, learning new routines and challenging ourselves to be faster and more agile than ever before. We loved the boxer footwork!

Raspberry Jam event at Queen Ethelburga's in York!

 

 

 

 

Miss S, Ben, Ben's Dad, Jenna, Jenna's Mum and I had a fabulous day at school on Saturday. Admittedly, it was at Queen Ethleburga's at York, but we engaged in a series of practical, hands on workshops using Mind control and Robots and the programming language of  Kodu, Scratch and Python. Using Raspberry Pi, we set up and controlled a robot arm and using Makey Makey we turned bananas and playdoh into touchpads. Wow!

 

(We ate a lot of Raspberry Pies too!)

 

Thank you to Mr Mir and his dedicated staff at Queen Ethelburga's for inviting us......we can't wait for the next event!

Baby Alice born yesterday, 8lb 6oz!

Class Photographs tomorrow

 

 

The school photographer will be in school tomorrow to take class, team and group photos. Musicians, remember your instruments. Shirts, remember your ties!! 

Summer Term 2015!

I hope you all had a good Easter break. We are looking forward to seeing you all again tomorrow and we have another busy term planned!  We warmly welcome Miss Brindle and Miss Cheyne as new members of staff in Lotherton and Ledston Classes.

P.S. Remind your children to bring their P.E. Kits and water bottles tomorrow. We have our Dance specialist in all day and she will be working with your children on the Ten Pieces 'Connect It' routine.
